Why do YOU hate Twilight?

I enjoyed it when I read it but I'm not a fan or anything. What I hate is how its made the YA genre kind of a joke (not to mention vampires). They are my favorite type of fictional characters but now they are tainted. I get both sides of the fence as to why people love it and hate but I'm kinda in the middle. People can like what they like I don't see why people have to get so mad about it. Does it personally affect your life when someone likes a book you don't like? That's sort of my opinion on anything not just Twilight. But ya I'll be glad when we can move on from this vamp phase and we can get some new stories in the YA section.
