Was apocalypse now redux an accurate movie in accordance to the vietnam war?

The 2001 movie "Apocalypse Now Redux" is supposedly a movie on the vietnam war. its just bugging me that i don't have the time to watch it. i would like to know if this movie was an accurate portrayal of the actual vietnam war. if you could please give examples. Thanks!
