Are guys really that shallow?

you seem like a nice girl so i wont yell at you for asking such a silly question. Of course there are nice guys out there. Im nice, and I have lots of guy friends who are nice. I also know guys who are pricks though. people tend to focus on the negative aspects or generalizations of people so its pretty easy for people to assume that "all guys are shallow" or "all women are picky" or whatever. it only takes one percent of a group to determine how 99 percent are perceived. it sounds to me like your biggest issue is your self esteem which you are already addressing. if you go out and approach men with an open mind instead of assuming that they will not respond to you then you will have a much easier time dealing with both success and failure in your future relationships.
